Alicia Keys Hair 2010, 2011 Trends
New York City has witnessed how stunningly gorgeous, Alicia Keys is. A Fashion icon, her fans are excited to see her new hairstyle every time she appears. Since curly hair is in, Alicia really knows how to carry her curly hairstyle. Actually, Miss Keys quote that having a shiny curly hair is quite tough to accomplish. The hair tends to lackluster when it is regularly curled so, there are many things heard regarding sexy vivacious coiled locks and that it made a lot of woman craved to have it at least once. Nevertheless, if your hair is so fine and straight and does not have a natural wave on it, you can begin with a nostalgic look of 1950’s and firming it in pin curls. Commonly used nowadays, Pin Curls are practical method to achieved lively flirty curls that last longer and less damaging to your hair.

Start out with something that can eventually eliminate frizz, like that of Texturizing Gel to guarantee that your curls can lasts longer and looks real. Smudge over your moisten hair that certainly works well with damp hair because it easily stays set as it dries up. Divide hair equally into two and set it about one inch portion. Draw hair and make ring out of it with your finger firmly. Then, carefully remove your finger off the curl and pin it flat against your head. To have long-lasting curls, the longer it is set, the longer it stays. This method of curling is an advantage, because it gives comfort when sleeping than using rollers. Finally, use hairspray to shape your hair that looks like the “Amazing Curls of Alicia Keys”.
SIDE BRAIDS HAIR 2010
I’ve seen this style a lot; it was made popular by Alicia Keys, who actually braids her own hair. Side-braids hair has tiny braids on the side – usually French braids - while the rest of that hair is left straight, hanging and undecorated. While this style is popular among African-American women, it’s not necessarily confined to them. In fact, I saw the style again just this morning on Boa Kwan, a Korean artist who specializes in hip-hop, techno and dance music.

It was absolutely gorgeous on her, and I paused the video to study the pattern. This hairstyle is unique, because the pattern is what draws the eye, not necessarily the style. Usually it is braided in a zigzag pattern, though it can also be braided in a circle, crossovers and even train tracks – braids that are parallel and co straight down in one direction. The ends are normally decorated with beads, or even curled sometimes. Ultimately though, the rest of the hair remains straight and untouched.
It takes less than ten minutes to get this done, and if you know a friend who can braid your hair (or you can do it yourself) you can get it done for cheap – or free. Most of the time this hairstyle is used when going out to a club or party of some sort. I’ve rarely ever seen it outside of the realm of casual fun, conserved for hanging out with friends, dinner at the local cafe or even going to the movies
